Please note that Phonics Play is currently free to access. This is a fantastic website with lots of games that the children can access independently. We use it lots in class and the children are familiar with it. Reception children should focus on phase 2 sounds and set 1 and 2 of phase 3. The website is

Home Learning - Week Commencing 11.01.2021

Well done to everyone for all your hard work at home last week. We have been really impressed with how hard you have worked and it has been lovely to see all of your happy, smiley faces during our zoom lessons! Please keep sending in the pictures of your work and activities, we always look forward to seeing them!


This week, our topic is Pirates! We will be sharing lots of Pirate books at story time and creating our own treasure maps! 


You should have all received your logins for Reading Eggs over the weekend and hopefully you will have had the chance to have a little look at that. There are lots of fun games and activities to complete, as well as reading books. Please remember to keep up your daily reading as much as possible! 


Learning packs will be available to collect from school should anyone be unable to access the online learning tasks.Please let myself or school know that you would like a learning pack before visiting school.

Home Learning - Week Commencing 4th January 2021


Hello Reception! We hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year. 


Our topic this week is Winter and below you will find a word document which details the home learning tasks for each day. I will of course talk through these in more detail during our morning zoom meeting.


If you have not already, please log onto your child's gmail account in order to access the details of our zoom meetings which will take place at 9:30am, 10:00am and 2:00pm each day.

9:30am - I will talk through the daily tasks for Literacy and Maths

10:00am - Phonics

2:00pm - Feedback/questions and afternoon story


Please remember to keep up daily reading as much as possible!

Home Learning - Week Commencing 5th October 2020

Well done to all of our children and families for a successful week of home learning last week. You all did a fantastic job and your support and enthusiasm was very much appreciated!


Please find below our weekly learning activities, which I will talk through each morning during our zoom meetings. Our theme this week is 'Under the Sea'.


As discussed last week, I will also be delivering a short phonics lesson at 10:00am each morning and invitations to these lessons  were sent out on Friday. If you would like to take part in the phonics lessons, please let me know as soon as possible via our class email address, and I will of course send you the link for the zoom meetings. 


Here's to another successful week and I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday morning! As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Home Learning

It was lovely to see you all on this afternoon's zoom meeting and I hope you enjoyed the story! Please find below the home learning activities for this week. As you will see, there are daily tasks for Literacy, Phonics and Maths. You will have now received your invitations for the zoom meetings due to take place each morning at 9:30am. During this meeting, I will explain the activities in further detail and run through any websites or resources that are needed to support each task. 


There will also be a daily zoom meeting at 2:00pm during which I will provide any further information I feel you may need and read a story to the children.

Hello to all of our new children and their families.  Please find below a short video introducing you to our Reception Class.  Here you will find details about the curriculum and uniform.  You will also be able to see our provisional plan for reopening in September with dates of settling in sessions and dates for children to start.  All information is subject to change so please keep an eye on the school website and class page between now and September.

We are really looking forward to finally meeting you all.  Take care and we will see you very soon.

Welcome to the class page for children who are due to start Reception in September 2020.  We would like to welcome you to our school and will contact you when we have further information regarding start dates and settling in procedures.  Please keep visiting this page regularly for any updates.
